One color screen prints with halftones are a great way to increase the value you are delivering to your customers.
By utilizing the halftones, prints have more life to them so they have a higher perceived value. One color screen prints are cheaper to produce than multicolored concoctions we often see on shirts and in many cases look better. Additionally, they are suitable for smaller quantities as they are cheaper than digital decorating.
Cost sensitive give away shirts are a great example of product that can be improved without additional expenses. What used to be a plain Jane simple decoration can now be full of life without increasing the cost. Now your penny pinching customer can have their cake and eat it, too!
Only one color (setup fee) is used to print the images in the gallery. With the exception of the black Cleveland print (which was printed using the discharge method for soft hand and has a $0.50 additional fee), they are standard one color decorations.
When printing quantities of 100 pieces total decorating cost is only $1.20 per garment. With T-shirt prices starting from $1.70 your total cost can be below $3 for a decorated shirt! You should be able to mark up the shirt 75%-100% which is at least double the going margins on the promotional product garments. Paying $6 is not an unreasonable number when buying 100 pieces. This will give you a better profit margin and a HAPPIER CUSTOMER! How’s that for a win-win?
Increasing the quantities to 150 decreases the price to $1.00. At 50 pieces decorating cost is $1.55 each.
